Beth started Total Glamour from her hallway 15 years ago after originally qualifying in acrylic nails by completing an early version of a home learning course - it consisted of a DVD, a practice hand, record cards for your progress and a written exam with absolutely no tutor support or advice.  Although the course got her started on her journey, she wanted to know that what she was doing was correct, as nobody had ever seen or assessed any real-life work.  So she quickly updated her skills and qualified in both advanced acrylic nail design and gel enhancements with NSI Nail Systems, opening the doors to many new clients who were desperate for a decent technician at that time in her town. Another year later, she qualified in spray tanning and beauty therapy, giving her the complete package to open her own nail salon.

For 7 years, Total Glamour Nail Studio traded in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, and achieved a high reputation, mirrored by its success as a busy high street salon.  Known for being a fun, friendly and quirky place to get your nails done, with the company of her two dogs during the day, Total Glamour was a well known and popular place to go - styled ahead of its time with a nineties aesthetic inpired by an earring along with personal touches.  During this time she had the opportunity to train apprentices and guide work experience students from local colleges during their placements, and became a go-too recommended salon for work experience students.
